Hotels

There are 40+ Mazatlan hotels involved in the international tourism market. Of the 40+, we work directly with twelve that consistently provide good service and excellent value. And, we've worked with most of these properties for over 20 years. Each has a high rate of satisfied clients, referrals and repeat business.

We have a budget hotel, La Siesta...a deluxe resort, Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay, and ten additional hotels that range from inexpensive to moderate and moderately expensive.

The following hotel descriptions are arranged in alphabetical order.

Azteca Inn: An inexpensive hotel in the Golden Zone. Conveniently located, it is close to the action but across the street from the beach. A low rise 3-story building with 75 rooms, featuring colorful bedspreads and marble floors. Some rooms have adjoining doors, especially convenient for families. Most rooms face a center courtyard and a landscaped pool area. One pool. One restaurant with indoor/outdoor seating and one bar adjacent to the pool provides beverages and snacks. Costa de Oro Beach Hotel: A moderately priced hotel in the Golden Zone, located on one of the best the beaches in all of Mexico. The hotel has a total of 232 rooms and suites. The property is divided into two separate areas. The original beach complex features standard rooms, some with ocean view, and ocean front junior suites. North is the hotel’s all suite tower featuring 112 spacious suites (760 square feet) with a separate bedroom area and a kitchenette, all with an ocean view and balcony or patio. The hotel has several shops including a convenient market and pharmacy, an Internet center, a beachfront restaurant and bar, and a second bar in the pool area that serves beverages and snacks. Inn at Mazatlan: The Inn at Mazatlan is a deluxe, all suite resort located on the beach in the Golden Zone next to Hotel Costa de Oro. The Inn features 220 ocean view suites, all with a balcony or terrace. Rooms are spacious with tile floors and colorful furnishings. All suites have a full kitchen and a separate living area with a pullout couch. Jr. suites are large (807 square feet) and sleep 6. One bedroom suites have 861 square feet, two bathrooms, and also sleep 6. The Inn offers theme parties and live music once or twice a week. On-site is a beachfront restaurant and a separate bar, tour desk, concierge, Internet center, gift shops, two pools, two hot tubs, day spa, and fitness center. La Siesta: A budget hotel in the historical downtown area across the street from the beach. This is an excellent location to experience Old Mazatlan where you can spend the money you saved on your lodging. The hotel has 3 stories with an open courtyard in the middle. La Siesta has 56 rooms, many with ocean view. The most desirable rooms are on the west side of the building and have a small serenade type balcony with a great view of the ocean. One restaurant. Air conditioning, shower only, phones, satellite TV.

    Interior Room:

Las Flores: A moderately-priced hotel located north of Playa Mazatlan on the beach. Las Flores Beach Resort has two 12-story towers that are connected to each other with walkways on each floor. With 119 units, the hotel features studios, suites, and standard rooms. Studios have a kitchenette area, with a table and chairs and an additional table and chairs on the deck, and two double beds. The one bedroom suites have all of the above, and more, with a separate bedroom that can be closed off for privacy. In addition to the studios and suites, there are 15 standard rooms, most without an ocean view or deck. There's a large, open-air lobby with a view through to the ocean. Two swimming pools, one with a children's area, and one Jacuzzi. Oceanfront bar and restaurant. Live music every night. Happy hour 5 to7 and 9 to 10. Margaritas Hotel & Tennis Club: An inexpensive hotel in the Golden Zone. Conveniently located, it is close to the action but across the street from the beach and Hotel Costa de Oro. Margaritas is a low rise 3-story building with 60 rooms and a colonial hacienda decor and ambiance. Most rooms face a center courtyard and a new pool surrounded by palm trees. The hotel is close to a variety of restaurants, shops, markets and pharmacies. Three tennis courts, air conditioning, shower only, phones, satellite TV.

    Standard:

Playa Mazatlan: Moderately expensive, in the Golden Zone and on the beach, this hotel is one of the most popular in all of Mexico. It has a predominant Mexican décor, with hand-painted tiles, bricks and flowers. This low rise has 423 rooms, half have ocean views and the other half have garden or pool views; all rooms have a balcony or terrace. There are four different swimming pools and one large jacuzzi. One oceanfront restaurant/bar and several snack bars. A fully stocked, full-size gymnasium is the latest addition. Playa Mazatlan has live music every night and a free fireworks display on Sundays. They also offer, at a reasonable cost, a Mexican Fiesta on Tuesday and Saturday evening. It's a show/dinner combination that includes a Mexican Buffet and all your drinks.     Meal Plan:
    $61 per person/per day, $30 per child/per day age 6-11. Added to any of the above rates. Includes: 3 meals from the main menu, including shrimp, fine cuts and admission to the Fiesta Mexicana one time per stay. Also, snacks and drinks from 10am to 11pm, tax and tips are included.

Posada Freeman Express: The Posada Freeman Express is a totally renovated high-rise hotel located in the heart of Old Mazatlan, across the street from the beach. The property stood vacant for many years and its renovation provides a much-needed downtown lodging option. The renovation includes a roof-top swimming pool with panoramic views of the ocean, the lighthouse, islands, cruise ships and more. The building is a 12-story high-rise with 64 standard rooms and 8 one-bedroom suites. Standard rooms have either two double or one king size bed; some offer ocean or city views, while interior rooms are a more economical offering. One bedroom suites are all ocean view and have private bedroom, sofa bed in the living room, two bathrooms, kitchenette and private balcony. Included in every stay is a daily breakfast buffet. The Freeman offers a business center with computers and printers. Available for meetings and parties are two ballrooms located on the 9th and 10th floors, providing lovely views of sunsets, the ocean, and more. Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay Rated 16th on Conde Nast Traveler's 2008 List of the world's 721 Best Places to Stay, Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay is an all-suite luxury resort set on 20 pristine acres overlooking the Pacific Ocean and it's own private beach in an area known as New Mazatlan. The resort is designed as a village of freestanding villas carefully integrated into a stand of 150-year-old mangrove trees. All 258 suites have fully equipped kitchenettes, air-conditioning, direct dial telephones, satellite TV, purified drinking water, in-suite internet access, hair dryers, irons and ironing boards, private safes and ocean view balcony or terrace. Resort amenities include 3 free form pools with swim-up bars and Jacuzzis, children's pool area, tennis courts, gourmet restaurants, new spa and salon services, fitness center, on-call medical services, bilingual staff with complete concierge services and a free shuttle running hourly to Pueblo Bonito Mazatlan from 10:30am to 11:30pm.

Pueblo Bonito Mazatlan: Located on the beach at the north end of the Golden Zone the all-suites, hacienda-style Pueblo Bonito Mazatlan has a tropical motif in which casual elegance predominates. The resort has 247 suites all with an ocean view balcony or patio. They all have fully equipped kitchenettes, air-conditioning, purified drinking water, direct dial telephones, satellite TV, in-suite Internet access, hair dryers, irons and ironing boards and private safes. Resort amenities include two freeform pools. One pool is for activities and includes a swim-up bar behind a rock-garden waterfall and a plunge pool and lounge chairs atop the rock garden. In a separate courtyard, a "quiet pool" includes a children's section, while an adjacent, mountain-pool-style spa tub. The hotel offers gourmet restaurants, 24-hour room service, salon services, a bilingual staff, on-call medical services, babysitting and nanny services. A free shuttle bus leaves hourly from 10:00am to 11:45pm to Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay where guest are invited to use the facilities, restaurants and services of that hotel.

Ramada Resort Mazatlan: Ramada Resort Mazatlan. Formerly the Los Sabalos Resort, this hotel became part of the Ramada Resort family in March 2009. It is located toward the southern end of the Golden Zone. The unique design of the Resort and beautifully landscaped grounds help to set it apart on one of the best beaches in Mazatlan. The hotel has 200 deluxe rooms and suites, recently remodeled, with ocean view. Every room features an LCD TV with cable, coffeemaker, hairdryer, iron and ironing board. The hotel is home to the Pyramides Wellness Center, which offers sauna, steam bath, gym, yoga classes, and spa with facial and body treatments. The resort features three outstanding restaurants; Vittore (classic Italian), Cowboy (steaks), and the Beach Grill (seafood). The Hotel is also home to the "world famous" Joe's Oyster Bar located right on the beach. Free wireless internet is available to all guests.

Royal Villas Resort: Deluxe 12-story high rise on the bech in the Golden Zone. The resort features 130 deluxe suites and studios all with an ocean view and balcony. Suites are available with 1- or 2-bedrooms and studios are likewise spacious. There is a large open air lobby complete with fish pools and waterfalls. The pool is at the end of the lobby and overloooks the ocean. The resort has a health club and game room. There are two restaurants and one bar poolside.
